JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – Eight people including three children died on Saturday, June 11, in a house fire in South Africa's Cape Town city, a spokeswoman for local firefighters said.
"A house fire broke broke out before 9:00 am this morning. The fire left 8 people deceased and five people were taken to hospital for serious injuries," Liezl Moodie told AFP, adding that three of the dead were minors.
The cause of the blaze in Mitchells Plain, one of the country's largest townships, was not immediately clear. – Rappler.com
